Amanda Bossard net worth
Amanda Bossard was just out high school when she began her marine biology education at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her commercial seafood career in 1999, when she started working aboard the ship F/V Sunset. The 65' schooner, which was transformed into an ice-fish tender was owned by Murat Aritan. The fisherman has been in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard and Aritan are married now and are working together to claim their place in their business. Both are advocates conservation of sustainable, renewable sources of seafood. Otolith opened its direct market wholesale distributor in Philadelphia in the year Bossard returned from living back in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre one, to Philadelphia. Her husband has a long career in the fishing industry and often they are separated from each other for five months or longer. It is during this time that they are focusing on their financial and environment objectives. Bossard as well as Isabella as well as Andre (ages 12, 10 respectively) are back each year, starting in July 2016 in Southeast Alaska for the summer harvest of wild salmon. A small 42-salmon troller using hooks and lines to catch their targeted salmon, they are joined by Aritan during two consecutive months selling to local processors and continuing to increase their direct market seafood offerings sold by Otolith Sustainable Seafood by way by purchasing custom processing and packaging services provided by small processors in order to produce unique wild-caught seafood that reflects their passion for quality as well as the environment. Amanda Bossard works as an Anchor/MMJ in News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx. She is with this station from November of 2015. Her passion is highlighting the good that happens in the boroughs she represents as well as telling stories that create an impact.
